HISTORY
SWISSA was a popular typewriter brand of the post-war era.
The company August Birchmeier’s sons manufactured typewriters and launched the Swissa typewriter in 1950.

Its designs was based on the product design of the world-known Bauhaus designer Mr. Max Bill, a designer who studied Bauhaus in Dessau under many teachers including Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee and Oskar Schlemmer.
The Bauhaus style tends to feature simple geometric shapes like rectangles and spheres, without elaborate decorations.
Afin Marketing GmbH relaunched the brand name and kept the design DNA of the Bauhaus style.
